What can I import to make a Reel?
Geotagged photos from your camera roll, a Google Maps route link, or a GPX or KML file with a route you recorded or planned, along with its stops. You can also drop pins on the map yourself. On iPhone, share any of these straight to Travellar from the share sheet. On the iPhone app, AI Trip Finder spots the trips in your camera roll and proposes a Reel for each.
Can I change the route before I post?
Yes. Rename, reorder or add any place we missed, pick walking, cycling or driving for each stretch so the line follows the real roads, and add your own title before you export. You can also add more photos and customise the Reel's style.
Where can I post my Reel?
Download it and post it on Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts or Stories or wherever you like! You can also publish the full activity on Travellar and send the link to your friends.
Do I have to publish my trip to make a Reel?
No. Your Reel is yours to download and post wherever you like. Publishing the experience on Travellar is a separate step, and it's up to you.
What's the difference between a recommendation and a scheduled activity?
A Recommendation is an activity you share for other travellers to discover and save, whenever they like. A Scheduled activity has a date and time, so others can join you.
Will everyone see what I publish?
Recommendations and scheduled activities are public, so anyone with the link or visiting your profile can see them. Only curated recommendations and upcoming scheduled activities are featured in search and discovery.
How do I find things to do?
Browse featured activities by destination or on the map, save the ones you like to a list, and come back to them when you're there.
Can I use Travellar without an account?
Yes. You can browse activities and open anything people share with you. You'll need an account to create Reels, publish recommendations, save lists or join scheduled activities.
Can I do an activity with other travellers?
Some travellers set a date and time for their activity. Join in and do it together.
I run a travel blog. Can I use Travellar there?
Yes. You can embed recommendation summaries on your blog or website. Travellar for creators explains how.
