Cabo Polonio has no electricity or running water in order to preserve the natural reserve 🏖. People there use wind power, generators and obtain water from nearby water wells or collecting rainwater.
There are a few houses and hostels where you can stay a few nights.
Some of the local highlights are beautiful beaches (good surf 🏄♂), huge dunes and a lighthouse.
No motor vehicles are allowed in the reserve, therefore you need to reach the Cabo Polonio Terminal and get a ride in a 4x4 vehicle or walk (7km) to the town.. Experience Rocha like a local and have fun in Uruguay with like-minded people.
